Snow blindness, also known as photokeratitis, is a temporary eye injury caused by overexposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation reflected from snow or other bright surfaces. 

Causes: 

• -UV radiation from the sun, particularly during winter months 

• -Reflection of UV rays from snow, ice, or other bright surfaces
